I set up an appointment with Laura to work on getting the motivation and desire to make the phone calls that I needed to make to be successful in my business. I'd been dealing with this problem for about six months. Every time that I thought about making a business call I felt apprehensive and nervous and didn't want to pick up the phone. I would try to force myself to make the calls but it wasn't very effective because I would usually just go do something else. From time to time, I would make some calls, but I often wouldn't do it at all. Instead, I ended up playing video games, checking my email, getting on the internet, and basically do anything that I could to avoid picking up the phone.

My fear was preventing me from making new contacts in my business and keeping me from earning any money. I was always worried about paying rent and covering my basic needs instead of being able to think about anything else. I couldn't go out and do things, buy the things that I wanted, and participate in the activities that I wanted to take part in. I sometimes felt out of control because I was so irritated with myself that I couldn't do what I was supposed to do.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis on Craigslist. I didn't have any qualms about using hypnosis because I'd had a psychology professor in college who was really into hypnosis and had done some class demonstrations, so I had an idea of what it would be like. I started to notice changes a couple of days after I met with Laura. The first thing that I noticed was that I felt more relaxed and able to perform this part of my job. There wasn't the barrier there anymore and it was easy for me to pick up the phone. The anxiety was gone and the more practice that I got, the more natural it felt to make the calls without feeling nervous.

Now, I'm able to do it with more confidence. Originally, I was making anywhere from 0-5, maybe 10 calls if I was having a good day. Now I make between 15 and 20 calls every day and I'm able to do the things that I want to do.

The best thing about using hypnosis for me is the change in my attitude, I feel calm and relaxed and have the confidence that comes along with that. I would definitely recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone who wants to overcome an anxiety or a phobia because it's helped me a lot.

I've had problems with confidence and self-esteem for the last 20 years. I was sexually abused as a child and that has had a big impact on the way that I've felt about myself and it has also affected my relationships with men. I picked out the negative side of guys and dwell on things about them that weren't positive. It made me feel very uncomfortable. It's a dead end road and I keep hitting a wall. I felt out of control and it was terrible, I felt like I was a little ant and that the way I felt didn't matter. I was stuck with this person that wasn't really me. I tried counseling and went to ten sessions, but it didn't really work for me. I needed a different approach to my problem.

I've wanted to do hypnosis for a long time and when I saw good reviews about A New Day Hypnosis on yahoo, I decided to set up an appointment. After the first session, I started to notice that I had strength and that I was standing up for myself. I felt more laid back and relaxed. I'm happier now and more in control. Even though I have the same life and I'm doing the same things, I feel like I have more time. I'm not running around in circles all day long and I'm actually accomplishing more.

It's been very easy to change my behaviors. It's really simple, I just tell myself to do something and I do it. I used to be nervous to stand up to my husband or tell him what I thought, but I've really turned that around. In fact, the other night I pulled into the garage and noticed that I was too close to the side, so the door mirror was stuck to the side of the house. The more I moved, the worse it got. In the past, my heart would have been pounding and I would have been afraid that my husband was going to kill me. This time, I just told him what happened and he fixed it and wasn't mad at me. The best thing about the experience for me was the fact that I wasn't scared.

I feel like no one can mess with me anymore and that helps me to feel more in control. I do whatever I want and I feel much happier and healthier. I'm not stressed out or crying, I'm not holding in anything anymore and I feel like I'm me again. The most important benefit that I've received from this experience is the fact that I'm not nervous and afraid anymore. I would recommend Laura's services to anyone who wants to relieve stress and feel better about their abilities because everyone around me has noticed a huge difference and they're seeing that I'm happy now. I've conquered a lot of things and I have an inner strength now. I'm really confident about the changes that I've made. I grow more and more and get better and better every day as I continue to do the work that I'm doing. I'm confident that no one is going to walk over me and I won't be taken advantage of or be controlled. I'm no longer a doormat or a pushover and it feels really good.

I've had problems with insomnia and anxiety for the last three months. It started out when I had a really bad respiratory infection and I found myself panicking at night when I couldn't breathe. I've always been even tempered and all of the sudden I was wigging out. I couldn't stop the panic and that was really scary for me. There were times when I would have such uncontrollable anxiety that I really felt like I was going crazy.

I tried listening to meditation tapes and they eventually helped me to calm down and sleep, but it really took a long time. It wasn't really helping me to focus on changes in my thinking because I was still feeling anxiety all the time. I felt out of control.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis from my husband Fred who came to see Laura for help with his insomnia. I was ready to do something. I figured out where the anxiety was stemming from and hypnosis helped me focus on what to work on. I noticed that I was staying calm and sleeping through the night and it's been a fairly easy process. I don't really have to think about it and it's more natural for me. I notice that if I feel a little anxiousness coming on, I know that I can overcome it. I have tools that can help me so that I'm not lost.

Because I'm sleeping better, I can think more clearly during the day. I'm more productive and focused with work because I have a lot more mental clarity. I don't feel crazy anymore and I'm making lots of other health improvements, too. I'm drinking more water, eating better, and my exercise has increased. Everything is coming together for me as a whole.

I have a greater sense of control now. If I feel a little anxious or unsettled, I can calm myself down. I feel like I went through a dark tunnel and I've come out into the light. I have a more positive outlook because I know that I've really accomplished something. I feel more confident because I'm not afraid of change anymore.

The most important thing that I've gotten out of this is my sanity. I would recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone who wants help with anxiety and insomnia because I've been successful and so has my husband. I feel confident that if I do wake up I can go right back to sleep and that's been such a relief to me.

I've had a problem with high levels of anxiety and irritation over the last several years. I have chronic pain related to autoimmune disease and it made it difficult for me to keep my positive thoughts in the forefront. The negativity fed back into the pain and everything else. Over the past few years, I've tended to just kind of keep to myself and isolate from friends. I was getting very grumpy with my family and I was not treating them very well. I wanted to be a good mother and wife, but my attitude was impacting things, the kids were fighting with each other a lot and we weren't very organized. There's the saying, "When Mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" and I think that's very true when it came to my family. I would wake up in the morning and tell myself that I was going to have a good attitude and I just couldn't do it. I was so angry and irritable that it didn't take much to set me off and I felt really out of control.

I have tried a lot of prayer and private meditation, but a part of me was just really overwhelmed with fear and anxiety that I would be stuck like this forever. I have always had a strong spiritual life, but over time I had become very isolated because I had lost support from my faith community. I have been to many counselors and a lot of them seemed to want to justify my feelings and thoughts and that's great, but I didn't want to continue to feel like this, empathy was not what I needed; I needed a kick in the butt to get over the hurdle.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis on Google. I've never done hypnosis before and I didn't know what it was going to be like, so I had some concerns. I wondered if it was really going to be very useful to me. I know that there are a lot of people who do stage hypnosis and I wasn't interested in that. I didn't want to go to someone who was just playing around with it and I wanted to be sure I was really working with a more practical application of hypnosis. I liked Laura's perspective. She seemed more realistic, down to earth and reasonable than the other hypnosis sites that I looked at.

I could tell a difference in my level of control after the first session. I was able to recognize when I was starting to get negative and I had more awareness. I felt more in control of my situation and I started taking better care of myself. It has been an incremental change, it builds on itself and I notice that things get a little bit easier every time. I've been able to take more positive steps to push harder with my doctors and get a better diagnosis. I feel a lot better physically and that has been very positive. I definitely have more energy and I sleep better at night.

My husband and my kids have noticed that I'm more positive and easier to get along with. A lot of my friends have noticed that I'm more personable lately. For the most part, I'm spending more time with friends and I have more to talk about than just how bad I feel. I no longer feel obligated to respond to other people when they pick at me. I can do things at my own pace and I can say no, which makes me a lot happier. I feel more confident in general. I can set boundaries and parent my kids clearly. It's been a lot easier to help my kids become more responsible. I feel more comfortable with myself and I know that I'm doing the right thing.

The most important benefits that I've received have been increased confidence and learning how to set boundaries. These were really the crux of the negativity, frustration and anger. When I wasn't able to set boundaries, I was angry with myself and angry with whomever I stepped over the line for. I wanted people to recognize my contributions and I was resentful when they didn't.

I would recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone who wants to overcome feelings of negativity. It's great to be able to understand the root of my behaviors and talk it through in a positive way. Figuring out where it came from has been key for me and having the reinforcement has really helped. The hypnosis helped to strengthen my beliefs and pull it forward and I am confident that I can stay on the right track.

I have suffered from an overall lack of self-worth, self sabotage, stress and anxiety my whole life, but since the birth of my child eight months ago, the issues had become more acute. I just felt like I didn't have any control over the way that I was feeling; I was spiraling and I couldn't get out of the negativity and self-sabotage. I felt like crap, I was tired and moody, I didn't feel good about myself, and I was unmotivated. When you don't feel good about yourself as a person and you don't love yourself, it's hard to give to your relationships. It was affecting my marriage, my ability to be a good mother, and my ability to be a leader at work.

I've tried self-help books and they have given me good insight and understanding, but they are harder for me to implement because I'm really stubborn. I tried some therapy a few years ago and worked through a lot of issues, but I was going to appointments twice a week for two years. I believe that people waste a lot of time going to therapy. I know that it works for some people, but I was looking for something more intense and direct that would make lasting changes. I was just tired of feeling the way that I was feeling and I needed some help to get past it.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis on Google. I did hypnotherapy for both of my births, so I didn't have any concerns about using it again. I felt better after the first session. I had hope that I could get past all of this and it felt good to be able to get it out and talk through the problems that I had been facing.

After a few weeks, I noticed that I had more motivation to exercise; I had more energy and a more positive outlook. It's been pretty easy for me, the environment here is good and it's just been really helpful.

I don't binge eat anymore. I drink more water and I'm more conscious about all of my decisions. I am more aware of the negative self-talk and find it easier to stop myself when it happens. I am sleeping better and I am able to focus more and get a lot more done in my day.

My husband has noticed that my overall attitude is better and I'm not so up-and-down emotionally. My mom said that she can tell by the way that I carry myself that I am feeling better and they have both commented on the improvement in my productivity.

I feel more in control. I take responsibility for the things that I truly have control over and that makes me feel happier. I feel more confident in my abilities as a business owner because I can lead the team and I am more confident in my marriage because we are communicating better. I am taking better care of my appearance and I feel more confident about how I look.

There have been a lot of benefits in this process. I feel empowered to make the right decisions and more motivated. I am more patient with myself and others and feel confident that I can get myself out of a rut if I need to in the future.

I would recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone who wants to overcome stress, anxiety, and a lack of self-worth because I feel confident that I can stand up for myself now and set good boundaries. I understand now that I can't do it all, and I am aware of my limitations and feel okay about them. I think that hypnosis is an effective tool and it has helped me to have more clarity and a better understanding of myself.

I've suffered from overwhelming feelings of stress and anxiety for as long as I can remember. I wouldn't notice that I was feeling anxious until it had all built up and then I would suddenly feel incredibly stressed. I would snap at my family and it worked against my relationships. I was very inflexible because of the anxiety and didn't go along with plans and activities for my family.

I felt out of control and it was awful. I knew I was doing the wrong things and handling things badly and I felt guilty. I didn't want to be that way and it was frustrating. My stomach has always been a little bit of a problem and the stress made things worse. I was constantly worried and not sleeping well, so I would nod off during the day at work. The days were passing by and I was just making due.

I tried to overcome my problem by changing my eating habits because of my stomach issues, but that didn't really have any affect. I bought a relaxation book and tried to follow it. I used it a couple of times and it never did much for me, so I just gave up.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis on Citysearch. I was worried that it might not do any good and I was a little concerned that it would be super "new age-y""". Luckily, it didn't turn out that way and I started to notice that I was sleeping a lot better and was also able to get into a relaxed state when I listened to my sessions. I also noticed that I didn't have horrible stomach pains and I had a lot more energy.

I feel more in control now. I find myself less thrown by things that happen. I can compromise and be more flexible. I've realized how important it is to give myself permission to take breaks at work and do things to take care of myself so that I can handle stressors better.

Yesterday, my wife mentioned that we were going to have drinks with friends. In the past, I would have complained, but this time I was fine with it and it worked out well. I feel more confident. I know that when something come up I can deal with it and I don't get thrown the way that it used to.

I feel confident that I'm working towards getting better and better. The most important benefit from this experience has been that I am more conscious of the moment and I'm able to deal with issues in a healthier way. I would definitely recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone with problems with stress and anxiety. It was huge for me to be able to notice things as they were happening and be able to use the tools I needed to deal with them. I find myself looking forward to things that used to worry me and I'm much more conscious overall.

Anxiety: Alison

I have had generalized anxiety since my senior year of college. I wasn't being who I am supposed to be and I had become a hermit. I wasn't living or being social. I would go out to eat with my husband, but that was about it. We just sat at home and watched movies and did nothing. I was embarrassed that I wasn't in good shape, but I was held back by a fear to go and exercise because I was worried about how I might look to other people.

I felt out of control. I could just be standing in line and feel myself becoming anxious and I couldn't be around a lot of people without panicking. Throughout different situations, I wasn't able to control my feelings. I never sat in the middle of an aisle because I was afraid that I would want to get up and thought it would make a scene and ruin it for other people. I could easily get in a depressed mode about my situation and that made things worse.

I tried meditation, but it was hard for me to sit there because my mind was just racing all the time. I went to a wellness doctor who suggested different herbs and teas. They were terrible and one of them tasted like dirt, so I just didn't do it. I avoided traveling because of my anxiety, but when I had to go home to see family I took Adavan for the plane ride. Although it didn't get me to the point of a full panic attack, I felt really uncomfortable the whole time and knew at any second I was going to be at the breaking point.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis on Citysearch. I decided to call because I've seen how anxiety has hindered my Mom's life and I didn't want to end up scared to do everything. I wanted to get out there and enjoy life and I knew I needed to do something.

I had concerns about hypnosis and didn't know if I would be open-minded enough. My Mom and one of the nurses at work said that they thought hypnosis would put things in my mind and being an anxious person, I had a lot of self-doubt about everything. I didn't think that it would work, but Laura made me feel really comfortable about it.

After the first couple of sessions, I started to feel more relaxed. I was able to try new things and be okay with it. I started going to a new Sunday school class by myself and I've noticed that I'm being a lot more social in general. I went to a play last night and sat in the middle of the row and I was able enjoy the whole thing.

At work, I feel more comfortable dealing with a lot of people. I went to see a personal trainer at the gym and I've noticed that I've been more energetic and focused on my health. I'm eating healthier and exercising regularly, which I hadn't done in a really long time.

The whole process has been easier than I thought because I've been consistently doing what is best for me. Tonight I'm going to a get together and I don't know who is going to be there. In the past, I would have been freaking out, but now I feel like it's going be fun.

I feel more confident in my ability to meet new people. I'm getting out there and doing things and that has built my self-esteem. I feel better in general. I have more friends and people that I can call and do things with. I don't have to just sit at home and be miserable anymore.

I would recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone who wants to overcome anxiety because I've seen how it has changed me. I feel more positive and I'm not getting in that depressed mode anymore. I feel confident about my ability to change and I'm ready to travel around and see the world.

I took a two hour flight recently and I was able to watch a movie and relax and it wasn't terrible. I have a flight next week and I'm not crying or shaking when I think about it. I've learned a lot about myself and I think that's going to help me in future relationships. I feel like I am becoming the person that I am supposed to be because I'm more social and really focused on helping people. I'm enjoying life more and trying new things, which has expanded my horizons a lot

I've had problems with anxiety since childhood. It affected my sleep because I was acting out my anxiety at night, I was tired and it was interrupting my husband's sleep as well. I am a people pleaser and I focused on things that weren't important, which raised my anxiety. I was stressed out as a mother and wife and, ultimately, not as happy as I could be. Sometimes things would get to be too much and the anxiety was more intense. I had unrealistic expectations about all the things that I wanted to accomplish. I would jam pack my to-do list and get everything done, but it was at a cost. If I got it done, it was a boost for my self-esteem and if I didn't, it was an attack to my sense of self. I knew that others had expectations of me and I wanted to be up to that standard, so it was pretty stressful. I've used yoga and knew that it helped with anxiety, but I think it would have helped a lot more if I had done it more regularly, so I wanted to try something else.

I heard about A New Day Hypnosis from my good friend Kelly. I came to my appointment with the impression that I would get a nice little relaxation CD to listen to before bed and all would be well. After meeting with Laura I realized that my sleeping habits weren't really the issue. It was a little bit hard at first. I didn't want to change, but once I got my head around it, it wasn't that difficult. I was ready to listen and I trusted Laura's judgment.

My main goal in life is to be a good role model to my girls. I've always known that what you don't get over, you pass on to your children, so the most important benefit for me has been the realization that my choices and behaviors were causing stress that was going to affect them. I was going to leave my daughters the legacy of stress and anxiety and I didn't want that.

I'm sleeping better now and I feel like my blood pressure is lower. I'm more relaxed and I'm able to calm myself down a lot faster. I feel more in control. My daughter's birthday parties have always been a big thing for me in what I want to do and how I come across to others. I realized that if I didn't have time to do something, it wasn't going to 'make or break' her birthday. I just lowered my expectations and still did the things I wanted to do for the right reasons. Everyone had a nice day, it was a success and I wasn't stressed about it. I don't think externally that people would notice the difference, but I'm more internally confident now. I know that it doesn't matter what other people think and I don't let it bother me.

I've been boasting all over Austin about A New Day Hypnosis. Laura tells you what you don't want to hear and helps you to find out why you are actually doing something. She's very straight and to the point, she will not waste time showering you with pleasantries. A lot of people are afraid to hurt people's feelings and be honest, but then you don't really get the job done. I think honesty is good and her honesty has really helped me.

I've had problems with anxiety and negative feelings for over a year now. It never used to be this way and it had gotten to the point where it was invading more and more pockets of my life. When I talked to people, I wouldn't talk very much and I had this constant inner dialogue that was really disruptive. I was afraid that I was offending people or worrying about what I should say next. When I met new people or even with current friends, my face turned really red and I felt like my true personality wasn't really being portrayed. I think that my nervousness was contagious and when I was around people, I made them feel nervous and uncomfortable. I felt like I just wasn't being me anymore. For a while I could work past it, but I started to feel sad because I couldn't connect with people. I needed a hand to grab me out and none of my family and friends could help me because they didn't really understand the problem.

I knew that things were starting to get out of control when I had a class that required that we give a presentation. The professor is brilliant and I was so happy to be able to be in the class, but I considered dropping it when I found out that I would have to stand up and talk in front of the group. I tried an anti-anxiety drug to control it, but it was really just a blood pressure drug that lowers your heart rate. It gave me headaches and although my heart wasn't beating as fast, I still felt really tense.

I really felt like I was slipping, so I looked up hypnotherapy on google. There was a huge list, but the business name 'A New Day Hypnosis' caught my attention. I saw the website and it looked like what I wanted. After I scheduled my appointment, I noticed the high rating on Citysearch, so I knew I'd gone to the right place. I remember coming in and just hoping that it would work. After the first session, I was a lot more confident in myself and who I was. I felt like I was more outgoing. I've also had some other side benefits, I immediately had better sleep, I have more control over my chocolate consumption, and I can think a lot more clearly. I also don't feel stressed when assignments come up.

It's been pretty easy. When I go home and listen to my sessions I feel really relaxed and I'm reminded of all the positive things that I'm learning. Talking in front of people has been fine. I feel more in control now and I can stay calm and recognize it if a feeling is coming up. The biggest thing I worried about before was my face turning red. If it happens now, I'm okay with it and because I'm more relaxed it doesn't happen as much. I'm more confident, I'm not thinking about how people are going to perceive me. I know that I'm a normal human being and I'm just fine. I can talk and be relaxed and it's really nice.

The most important benefit for me has been the confidence I've gained. I feel like myself again. I would recommend A New Day Hypnosis to anyone who needs help with anxiety because it works. I'm confident that I'm free of the anxiety and in social situations I feel so much more comfortable now. I have a speech coming up today and I know that if the symptoms come up, I won't be anxious. I know that I'm very prepared and that I'll do a good job.

I've suffered from anxiety for as long as I can remember. It was affecting my sleep and my ability to interact with the people that are close to me. I wasn't able to relax and have a good time because I was always thinking about the things that I needed to do. I felt awful because I wasn't able to have good conversations with my kids and wasn't able to mentally be present in conversations or get work done. I didn't have as much control over my life as I wanted and I felt trapped. I felt hopeless and depressed because it didn't seem like I had any options in my life.

I've tried regular counseling to deal with the anxiety, but I didn't feel like it was very helpful. I've also tried self-help books. Some of them had good points that interested me, but a book can't gauge your reaction and point out something that you don't already know. The books didn't challenge me and I gravitated towards the things that I already agreed with and ignored the things that I didn't, so it wasn't that much of a help either.

I saw the sign for A New Day Hypnosis outside when I was eating lunch at Austin Java. I decided to call because I wanted to try an approach other than the basic talk therapy that I'd tried before. I noticed that I was able to go back to sleep after waking up instead of lying awake for hours. I was also able to be more comfortable in social settings. I feel like I have more control now and instead of just passively accepting everything, I am coming up with new ways to respond to issues in my life. . I stand up for myself more and feel more confident because I believe that I'm right and respond accordingly.

It's been really easy for me to relax and listen to the sessions. I look forward to my visits because I feel like Laura listens and understands better than anyone else that I've worked with. The most important benefit that I've received from A New Day Hypnosis is the ability to decrease anxiety and look at things differently. I am more empowered and I'm very happy with my progress. I really feel like I have taken control of my life.
